Hi, I’m Emma
For many of my clients, the pain didn’t start yesterday. I help people move through pain—not around it.
Whether you're grieving a loss, hoping to form new habits for old problems, make sense of a complex history, or just looking for a sympathetic ear, I’m here to hold space for your story. With training in EMDR and 10 years of experience in private practice, I bring both compassion and clinically proven tools to help you find relief and meaning again. The healing process can be complex and is not usually a straight line. Whatever you've been through, I'm ready to tackle it with you to help you regain the peace of mind and joy you deserve. I love helping people through all kinds of areas in their lives. I want to be there for you, connect with you, support you, challenge you, and hopefully share some laughs.
I am passionate about serving those in both Georgia and Texas as I have family in both states.
I studied at the University of Georgia for both my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Science, and my graduate degree in Social Work. I have over ten years of experience in clinical treatment for adults and adolescents. I have been licensed to practice mental health treatment in the state of Georgia since 2016. I pride myself on lifelong learning and have completed certifications in Gottman Therapy and Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have certifications as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) from the National Association of Addiction Professionals and have completed extensive education in working with grief, trauma, veterans, young adults, women, men, those that identify as LGBTQIA, and so many groups in between. I have completed training in levels 1 and 2 through the Gottman Institute in couples therapy.
Healing is not about forgetting. It’s about remembering in a new way—one that doesn’t hurt as much.
My style is grounded, relational, and direct—but always with deep compassion. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect to the parts of yourself that already know how to heal. I promise, working in private practice for as long as I have, your experiences or choices will not scare me or be too much for me to help you with. Sadly, there is no magic wand or secret words to say to fix problems in one session. Healing takes time, but my experience and expertise will help you get past these hurdles so that together, this can be overcome. Therapy can be hard and annoying. You don't have to love it. Healing isn't linear and it often isn't pretty, but it's worth it. I would love to be able to help you grow and meet the goals you have set for yourself.
You deserve to feel whole again. Let’s work together.
