Strong relationships don’t just happen—they’re built, repaired, and deepened with intention.
Couples therapy offers a structured, supportive space to better understand one another, navigate conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. Whether you’re feeling stuck in recurring arguments, recovering from a breach of trust, or simply wanting to improve communication, therapy can help you move forward with clarity and purpose.
My approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practices. We focus on helping both partners feel heard while identifying patterns that may be keeping you disconnected. Together, we’ll work to build healthier communication, increase emotional safety, and develop practical tools you can use outside of sessions.
Couples at any stage—dating, engaged, married, or navigating major life transitions—can benefit from this work. The goal isn’t perfection, but a more honest, resilient, and fulfilling partnership.
Common issues in couples therapy are:
Communication difficulties and recurring arguments
Feeling emotionally disconnected or distant
Trust issues, including infidelity or betrayal
Differences in intimacy, affection, or sex drive
Conflict around parenting or family dynamics
Stress related to finances, work, or life transitions
Difficulty balancing individual needs with the relationship
Feeling unheard, unappreciated, or misunderstood
Navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use within the relationship
Premarital counseling and preparing for long-term commitment
Rebuilding connection after major changes such as having children, relocation, or grief
Challenges with boundaries involving extended family or friends
Differences in values, goals, or expectations for the future
I have training from the Gottman Institute in the Gottman Method which has been studied for decades in strengthening relationships and repairing fissures that have occurred. I prefer to combine a practical, real-life approach with evidence based treatment modalities to provide care and guidance that is effective but doesn't take decades to get there.
